The Eagle Has Landed. by wendyfrost

The Eagle Has Landed.

My entry for todays Flickr theme - No Real Animal.
We bought this handsome carved Eagle off a beach trader whilst on a wonderful holiday in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico . He tried to persuade us to buy the huge carved eagle he was holding far to big to fit in our suitcase and a good excuse not to buy it as we didn't particularly want it anyway . No worries he said and disappeared along the beach. One hour later he returned with this much smaller version and a big grin on his face we didn't have the heart to say we didn't want it and so the Eagle came home with us.
A fabulous carving

I love the wood carvings that they do in Mexico and have some in my home that I've had for over 20 years and still adore them. That's a fun story and so typical of Puerto Vallarta.

Seems the story behind the eagle is just a good as the carving itself. Nicely captured!

That's a fabulous carving and a great shot with your perspective and dof! A great story, too, Wendy- I'm sure you will never forget it! Fav
