This shop sells soft knitwear made with opossum fur, and also has a little display at the back all about opossums.
The creatures might seem cuddly but are highly destructive. Introduced for their fur, they breed like rabbits and eat voraciously, and have brought a number of plant species to, or close to extinction. They are also carnivorous and eat birds' eggs.
