There are so many hermitages around Italy. Beautiful capture with all the green surrounding the hermitage. I wonder what urged some individuals to be decide to isolate themselves in this way. Good be religion, but religion could be practiced anywhere.
@rensala I walk up to the hermitage through the woods from time to time: you can get a great view of our village from there! Also there'll be a service there at the end of May.
@randystreat They are two trees planted by our neighbours across the road (whose house is to the left of here), some years ago, but they do very well at this time of year!
