Robin nature by willowdragon

Robin nature

I took this photo at a local nature reserve the other day.
A bloke who was just standing there putting seed on his hand encouraging birds to come and feed.

I am not sure that I agree with tempting birds to do this as it can strip away their natural instincts. Plus this bloke was only doing it when people were around so he was obviously looking for the attention. (I made sure he wasn't looking at me when I took this!)

Three good things today:
1. Being able to stay wrapped up in my pj's and dressing gown all day. I have a cold and have lost my voice.
2. I managed to make the tea that I was going to make yesterday ..... roast lamb! Couldn't do it yesterday as I spent the day in bed. Reminded me why I don't often eat lamb though.
3. I am being harsh this year and culled my photo's from the nature reserve quite severely. I went from over a 100 to 26!

Do you think it makes these birds to dependant? This guy would feel good at all the people taking his photo! And one's computer does have a limit with storage for photos so culling is good! I do it regularly!

@maggiemae I see the difference between the robins in this reserve where people feed them a lot and in my happy place where it's "natural". The robins and squirrels don't run like they should which is not good when there are predators around. Although there were loads of both!
I have to cull regularly! I have so much stuff on my computer. I am being ruthless this year.

Great shot Fav I find it very hard to delete photos but I must get tougher with myself as, like you, I am finding so many photos are clogging up my pc

Super capture, you can see the bird is on its guard by its body language and feathers.
