@ksyu I am two minded about the Zoo, with the forest encroached to such a small area, it is very easy for poacher to get into the forest where it is used to be too difficult to get into, and catching these adorable animals. Their fate is unbearable to imagine. I just wish that Zoo is bigger enough to provide them enough places to play around. Wellington Zoo is a very sad place to me as it is too small.
he does look sad. It is certainly a dilemma for this animals and I agree they must have as natural environment as possible. We have a beautiful zoo here in Adelaide
@yaorenliu I think that it starts from zoo. When children go there and see animals in cages or even worse animals suffering for entertainment in circus they are convinced wrong model of behaviour... They perceive animals as slaves of human because they are defeated in the cage. And after that they allow themselves the thought of killing an animal in form of poaching. Maybe I'm wrong and just angry with our zoos where the conditions of keeping animals are terrible. But your picture aroused storm of emotions in my head! Thanks for answering my comment.
@ksyu@yaorenliu I understand the concerns people have about zoos but they play a very important role nowadays in conservation and education - if you are going to comment on the expression or demeanour of an animal in a zoo you need to watch them over a long period of time - I am sure there are times we as humans don't always look happy or enthusiastic - it doesn't been we are leading a miserable life - like us many animals show a range of emotions and many of them are safer in a zoo. Unfortunately not all zoos are the same and I no longer go to circuses featuring wild animals.
