The weather was a little iffy today with tornado warnings in the morning and Cathee slept through the whole thing — sirens and all. We planned an indoor adventure first visiting the American Sign Museum then eating lunch at Ruth's Parkside Cafe. I couldn't believe the expansion plans for the Sign Museum. It's going to double in size. It's such a great place. You can never have too much neon.
After lunch we visited Union Terminal which turned out to be kind of a disappointment. They just did a major renovation which looked nice but they reorganized their gift shops. They got rid of the one with the pretty stuff and only kept the one for kids. Thumbs down on that move. We sat in their Rookwood-clad Graeter's and ate scoops of ice cream then drove home to pick up Ande. He's flying to Ojai for the weekend so we dropped him off at the airport.
Even though it's a chain, we went to Longhorn for dinner because they have the best bread. Then to the gigantic Kroger Marketplace so Cathee could experience a grocery store with 95 aisles. We ended the day by watching James Holzhauer win Jeopardy then charmed till the wee hours of the morning. We both agreed there's not enough hours in the day for everything we want to do!!!
