Taken this past spring at Zoo Blooms, I saved this shot of the sign in front of the birds for my July flag. I just love the Charley Harper graphics. So very Cincinnati and a nice tribute to a great (and famous) local artist.
I didn't know Charley Harper was from Ohio, but I love his work! Before it was closed, my daughter was working for Land of Nod, the Children's division of Crate and Barrel; they carried many items by him and I think she sent them all to me! I treasure them!
@Weezilou Yes, he was from Cincinnati. I met him in the 90s when I was President of the Art Directors Club and we gave him the Lifetime Achievement Award that year. It was such an honor to introduce him to the group. How fun to have so many of his items from Land of Nod.
