I was in 2 minds, not the Kea, whether to post this or not. It was one I took at the zoo last week. Unfortunately the background was wire netting, and distracted from the bird completely. You are only seeing this due to @dkbarnett beautiful photo of the Kea in the wild, and my admiration for @claudiet, and her beautiful processing of her wildlife photos. Tonight I sat and watched a video by Jai Johnson, on how to use her texture's as a background. I followed along in photofxlab, then when i came to saving it, realised my 30 day free trail had ran out, and I couldn't save all the work I'd just done. I'm more familiar with photoshop, so redid it in photoshop. It's by no means perfect, but as a first attempt will have to suffice. Now I'm beginning to sound like @mbrutus with his long scripts LOL, By the way, Delwyns lovely kea shot is on the trending page.
@callymazoo yes, used layers. A work in progress! The kea was a fairly easy shape to work on. There are people on this site who are fantastic at using textures
