Apologies for the mass upload. This was the toughest section. Not only did we have to contend with rocky, sandy trails, but we crossed over rivers, and in a howling gale. Scenery was magnificent!!!
The trail follows a country road past Lake Wairarapa to Ocean Beach.
The final section is the shortest, but also the most adventurous. Aptly named the Wild Coast, it skirts around Turakirae Head, where the Remutaka Range dives into the pounding Pacific Ocean.
The trail then runs west to the mouth of the Orongorongo River
Wow! That is one gorgeous road - so wild and free!
You must have been exhilarated once you were done that ride.
