Lovely capture! I have never seen an otter in Scotland, although I know they are about. My mum used to see them from her lounge window in Braemar - their house overlooks a river. But I've never been so lucky. Maybe one day!
@jamibann we used to stay around the Kyle of Lochalsh and visit the bay where Ring of Brightwater was written. I have happy memories of catching shrimps and boiling them in a tin can over a fire
@yorkshirekiwi Ah, Ring of Bright Water. I loved that book and the film - would still have me in tears, I bet! I've never collected shrimps in Scotland, but we used to do that in Donegal in summer. Nothing better than collecting them on the incoming tide and having them for tea!
