Unfortunately, this invasive South American grass is often mistaken for the closely related New Zealand toi toi or toe toe, but pampas is a pest, not a native! I think this is pampas due to the pink colouration. Toetoe produces a drooping, light golden-yellow flowerheads from September to January.
