Pampas Grass - I think by yorkshirekiwi

Pampas Grass - I think

Unfortunately, this invasive South American grass is often mistaken for the closely related New Zealand toi toi or toe toe, but pampas is a pest, not a native! I think this is pampas due to the pink colouration. Toetoe produces a drooping, light golden-yellow flowerheads from September to January. Pampas grass points upright, producing a straight, dense and fluffy white/pinkish flowerheads. Despite it being a pest, I still think it looks pretty
It is here in Maine to - surviving our winters. I love to photograph but wish it would disappear.

I love pampas grass too and think it looks gorgeous. Unfortunately, it is regarded as a noxious weed here in Australia too.
