Kowhai Tree by yorkshirekiwi

Kowhai Tree

Today, I tried a technique I've wanted to try for a while. Pep Ventosa is a photographer who has made popular the technique of walking all around a subject taking photographs, and then combining all the shots in a multi-layered final image. I have been looking out for a tree to try it on for ages. I could only walk around 180 degrees, as I would have fallen in the river. This was 15 layered shots. I'm quite pleased for a first attempt. The only sad thing was the tree was full of tui's and I didn't have a long lens with me.
This is incredibly beautiful. I’m somewhat disappointed not to have you do the 360 degrees though!!!
You must be thrilled with this/these images and such a lovely outcome. Fav

@dide thanks Dianne, I’m keen to try this technique again. On the look out for suitable subjects, maybe not one so close to the river
