As I drove into my driveway, I noticed a male quail sat on my fence. I parked up and dashed in for my camera. By the time I got back he'd disappeared, then I saw him with his partner grubbing around in the ground litter. Didn't manage to get a good shot of them together, but then the female jumped up onto the lower rung, and posed long enough for me to get focus.
