I've watched Monarch butterflies emerging from the chrysalis before, but this is the first time, I've seen a caterpillar turn into one. It was weird, and so quick. It looked like it was pulling up a green sleeping bag. I couldn't work out whether it was turning itself inside out our not. My swan plant is currently home to about 20 chrysalis, and loads of caterpillars.
