I’m in Rotorua for the next four days attending the Photography Society of New Zealand annual conference. Registration isn’t until tomorrow, so after arriving in the rain, I took a wander along the lakeside, and was rewarded when the sun finally broke through. Rotorua is a thermal town, so this isn’t mist drifting off the water, but steam rising and swirling through the scene, adding an almost surreal atmosphere to the light. A beautiful and slightly otherworldly impression of this unique place.
What a lovely thing to do.
