Streetart

Christchurch's street art can evoke strong feelings in visitors. The 2011 earthquake that devastated New Zealand's third-largest city left visible marks, including collapsed buildings and open streets in the central business district. Since then, artists have responded to the city's shattered appearance, initially in the shape of guerilla scrawlers who breached the Red Zone's walls, and later, as local officials caught on to art's restorative potential, in the form of commissioned murals. This one was created by Australian street artist "Rone"
Had to dig into the archives for this one, but look forward to finding new ones to photograph
