Crackin' way to start 2016

We had another rare opportunity at the Aurora Borealis, in the UK - the alerts started to arrive around 11.30 pm - Not how I thought we would be seeing in the New Year and when we arrived at our vantage point there were quite a few cars and a mini firework display, so all in all a good night.

Wow amazing what a great end to the year. Something I would love to see. We were hoping that we would see the southern lights while on our way cruising to New Zealand recently as there has been lots of activity lately down here, but it was not to be. During our two weeks cruising things were very quiet and isn't it always the way, on our return the activity started up again.
