This is retired 4th grade teacher, Blair, taken at our Gamma Mu end-of-year meeting. She is posing next to the box lunches she organized and transported for the group. She was also the reason I was able to attend the meeting, thoughtfully calling me with an offer to pick me up and drive me. When she is not working behind the scenes for Gamma Mu, she is tutoring youngsters in math, volunteering at her church and at a public school in the city of Richmond.
As you can now see for yourself, when I titled this picture “A good friend,” I didn’t mean just to me, but to everyone she meets.
