Purple Pods

I fell in love with these bean pods in the garden today. How is it I never noticed them before, or whatever vegetable was growing on this stalk? I think I'm pretty observant but I swear these beautiful banners were not flying the last time I visited.

I LOVE the purple-ish color of the pods. I hope you find out what was growing here before the seed pods...I would like to know if you do. I love the frame you made for this picture -- it really "sets" if off !.
