My sister and her hubby arrived today from Cornwall to take over looking after Mum. I haven't seen my sis for nearly 2 years was was really nice catching up.
We all went into town for a full english breakie before heading to hospital. Dad was in fine spirits today (my sister always brings out the best in him).
He's been up on his feet and walking about but we got him into a chair and pushed him down to the cafe for a coffee for a few hours - he seemed more perky being in different scenery.
I think the excitement might have tired him out as he looked quite sleepy when we got back to the ward. Reckon he'll be moved back to Portsmouth or a nearer hospital in the next few days to continue his recovery, which will suit Mum as Southampton General is a nightmare to get to...
Left sis looking after Mum this week and headed back to London. Took this on the way as I drove through the Hampshire countryside. Thought I'd crop into 16:9 widescreen view.

Absolutely STUNNING. I am glad you did the widescreen view really adds to the "vastness" of your picture. I also like that this photo looks nothing like the England I have in my mind. Glad to hear your dad is doing better!
