I can assure everyone, all the strawberries were appropriately disposed of after this shot.. :-)
It's Eid today and as I work in an area which is over 60% Muslim, I had hoped to take a picture representing the day. Usually for Eid, the guys will hire the most expensive car they can afford, then cruise around, music blaring, driving real slow trying to impress the ladies - who will be dolled up to the nines, tons of make-up, big hair, high heels and bling-bling glitzy outfits... (was planning on taking some sneeky shots from behind the office blinds)
This year though, there didn't seem much going on.. Saw a few groups of girls out to impress as I left work, but not a lot else... Perhaps all the action happens after dark!!!!!
So instead, here's some strawberries and cream... These are in fact the first strawberries I've had this year.
As I'm not in work for the next 2 weeks, I've had to leave the D5000 there and return to using my old D40. Somehow it just doesn't feel right in my hand. Too light-weight, too flimsy...
Happy weekend folks and Eid Mubarak to any Muslim 365ers out there...
Haven't seen beautiful strawberries in months....they are much to fragile to travel the distance via ship here. Something to look forward to....yummy shot!
How can these be the first stawberries you've had - where've you been?! Nice pic - they look slightly teasing. A few fireworks this end of town and people greeting each other in the street (all the while munching on nice things!)
I enjoyed reading your interesting story. Thanks for sharing what's happening in your corner of the globe. :-)
