I wired up and powered up the green LED strip lighting that's integrated into my spaceship corridor. I did shine a warm LED light through one of the ceiling grills to light up the space marine, but all the green light comes from the built-in lights. I'm quite pleased with the grid dots projected on the walls by the ceiling grill.
I regret cutting holes in the ceiling grill. It was supposed to make my spaceship look old and beat up, but it shows off the white backing I'm using to reflect the green LEDs above it, making them look like hot spots in the photo. I'll have to experiment with a black backing and see if that eats up too much of my green light. Otherwise, I can just cut them out and replace them.
