Leaps & Bounds by bluemoon

Leaps & Bounds

I have never seen so many deer in one day in all my life! Around 4:30 this afternoon I drove to the park just down the road where it's not unusual to see a deer or two or ten. Well today I saw literally dozens and dozens of them. Unfortunately by the time I got there the light was fading fast so none of my pictures are all that great. There were little bands of deer everywhere I looked but most of them were hiding back in the timber making a clear shot nearly impossible. It was so frustrating because they were jumping and leaping over fences and through the fields but they were either too far away or there was too much brush in the way to get a picture. Driving home though I saw probably 20 deer in a field so I stopped and grabbed this shot...not great but the one has all 4 feet off the ground so I think he qualifies as mid air.
You sure captured the theme in this shot! I have got to get out this weekend and get some good shots. :)

You did great to capture the motion. Isn't the following deer cool as it lands. Now you have to return in the light.

hey that girl is giving that boy a good chase. I have a painting of just that, a deer chasing a stage. I love the movement you have caught - it's like a dance when they run

Great shot! Too bad wild animals have a habit moving about at daybreak or dusk, isn't it! However, you got a unique caputure!

They look ethereal, like they're dancing on air.

This is absolutely a great theme-shot! Love how high they can jump! And you captured that with the fading light! The editing is also contributing to a stunning picture!

Wow, great shot!!! I really love the color tones in this--the golds against the white, with the gray sky... The deer are just the icing on the cake here!!!
