Note to self - shutter speed should’ve been set faster to achieve the look I was after. I was wanting that girl on the bike to be more of a whiz, a flash-by, as it were.
As it is now, the whole image just looks like a messed-up blur. Or maybe I didn’t focus properly … maybe maybe maybe’s.😵💫
Does one ever reach the stage where you know absolutely everything, know exactly what to do in any particular situation? That has to be nirvana. I don’t think I’ll ever reach that zone.
I’m moving out of my comfort zone of aperture priority
to shutter priority, and finding it tough going. It’s quite diabolical, actually, especially for things on the move. The moving thing either disappears completely, or it’s not moving at all, when in actual fact it definitely was moving, or it’s a blurry mess as above. So yes. A lot to learn about this shutter mode.
My phone is gazing at me temptingly from the front seat of my car.
No. Get out of my sight, says I. And then I saw something and happily leap out of the car and take the next shot with the phone. LOL. I will post it shortly. It is for FoR, after all.

Good idea!! Standing on the side of the road sweating myself stupid, this didn’t even occur to me - will definitely give that a go next time I’m doing kerb duty.
slower shutter speed (hard for me to do in the bright light) to make the movement a blur and a very still camera to get the background in focus to contrast with the blurred movement perhaps. I agree that having fun is the best part, keep track of what you used as far as your settings and see what you like the best.
