2.40 pm: On the way back from my parents'. The girls are finally asleep - a relief after loads of fussing & screaming from the angelic looking one on the right.
When we came home no water came out of the taps. The water company apparently had some emergency while doing maintenance. We do have water now but we need to boil it for the next four days "just to be sure". Just what we needed.
Sigh, brings back memories... crap we're taking a 6 hour road trip in March but now the kids are 8, 11 & 16... and the fussing and screaming still doesn't end. :D
But they are such angels when sleeping.. are we allowed to give the children sleeping aids?
When this happened in the back of my car I was inclined to keep on driving just for the quiet moment. My boys are 13 now (yes, twin boys) and don't nap, and argue constantly; I would like a time machine some days. Nice shot.
That's a great photo! My middle daughter hated car rides and would cry until she slept. Then there was the stress of trying to arrive at the destination before she woke up to cry some more. Yikes! My youngest daughter(when she was 2-4 yrs old) used to shout "GOOOOOOOOO" when we stopped at red lights because she wanted to keep moving. Kids are fun! :-) I miss those days!
Aww, this is so sweet. I used to hope my kids would fall asleep in the car when they were younger. They hated long car rides and it was always miserable!
@celticmystyc Thanks for the reassurance - I can imagine that might present some extra challenges.
@5unflow3r@clarissajohal The idea was that the girls would fall asleep early on in the 2,5 hour journey (we left around nap time) but it didn't work out because our youngest was overtired and threw a tantrum...

@lislee75 Thank you, I post-processed this shot a bit to get a more soft look.
@smallenburg @deniseescovino @petra @harvey Thank you all! :)
@rich57 I know, I wish I could catch them more often when they are asleep.
@celticmystyc @shantwin Hm, I was hoping those car trips would actually get easier when they get older. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath ;)
@dan_paul LOL, definitely conked out.
