Trying to cope

I've been busier than normal with new challenges, volunteering with local Art Center, being a juror for our local fall arts festival, and a bit of dental issues, my cap popped off which they were able to re-cement but an implant is in my future (guck I hate falling apart)

This sculpture is at the local community college. It is untitled but the artist is: Mary Harden, a faculty member at Western Oregon University. I was there to present a cash award to a student for her photograph.
Lovely capture. It seems to symbolize you narrative about falling apart.

@shutterbug49 @corinnec @marlboromaam @eudora Thank you so kindly. I was amazed at the students works on display. It was so nice to meet the artist-recipient that received our photo guild's award.

I love the way you processed this wonderful sculpture using the Adamksi effect! I would give you a prize for this. Hope your dental issues will soon be resolved, quite a process.

I feel like this too. I cannot keep up on commenting on 365, 3 grand boys in lots of sports. I had intense pain from a tooth that got a root canal but will probably need to be pulled and get my 3rd implant. My sweet puppy dog passed away that I am still upset over. Etc. This year has not been easy so far. :(

@gardenfolk Thank you so very much. I am so very sorry to hear about Sophie Belle (hope I got her name right), she was so completely adorable. I understand about not staying current with comments. My good friend from high school, who lived in France, passed away in January. Her passing has hit meet very hard but combined with my nephew's sudden and unexpected passing last September, I am trying to plug along as best I can. Please take care.

@joysabin I am sorry for the passing of your nephew and good friend. I do not handle loss well be it human or animal. Loss is loss and leaves emptiness and heartbreak.

Compared to the last few years, this year has compounded with one trying thing after another with the year ending in an election that feels like a loss/loss. Hoping for a better 2025 but doubtful.

Take good care...
