(both of us) and it was worth it. Sitting in a hide for the first time, one is closer to the birds who come and perch on the reeds or dead tree stems in the water.
For the first time, I saw birds catch fish and was able to get a few shots.
I have heard pretty much the same things from every bird photographer who's spoken at our club. The blinds are far more comfortable in many ways than sitting outdoors and waiting for the birds. But the best part of them is the ability to capture shots like this one. Fav!
@olivetreeann It is really true Ann. They have quite a few spots of grass, reeds and old tree stumps pretty close to the hide. There is always something going on. The good part is also that one can use the railing to put the camera on so there is no necessity for a tripod.
I can kick myself in the butt for not going earlier. I will buy a pass and become a regular visitor now ;-)
