When my dad retired he would go around looking for this kind of stuff, take it apart and get so much a pound for it at scrap metal places. Don't they have that now? Where are all the recycling places.
@sailingmusic That's a good question Myrna. I don't know what they do with all the junk. I thought there were recycling centers, too. They must still be around. I know we recycle a lot of our trash.

@pyrrhula Pyrrhula, I'm guessing this junk yard is a business that sells parts or metal to make money. We do recycle here, too but I do see junk yards now and then that are businesses.
@pyrrhula I guess here, Pyrrhula, it depends on the different counties and what kind of rules they have and I'm not sure what the rules are. I don't usually see junk yards like this one. Mostly the ones I see are ones with old cars and car parts.
