We started using a farm shop during lockdown (was the only place that had bread flour for starters) and have continued to use it for our meat with the UK slowly getting back to ‘the new’ normal. It’s 36 miles away, so not what you’d call local but the meat is to die for; it has recently reopened its restaurant which is a huge bonus.
Carole accompanied me this month and we both had a quite superb eggs Benedict for breakfast. That smile is the same smile that captivated me all those years ago.
That is a lovely smile.
You can't beat a farm shop, we have an amazing one about 10 minutes away, with a restaurant. We did manage to get bread flour without too much difficulty but the farm shop was the only place we could get yeast for a long time.
Glad to hear that you and Carole are doing well in all this craziness and that things are opening back up where you can enjoy having a meal out together.
Oh don’t you love a good restaurant. And good meat markets are busier here than they have ever been! That’s a sweet compliment you paid your better half, she does have a lovely smile.
