Sturnus vulgaris by phil_sandford

Sturnus vulgaris

In the UK, a Starling, in the US, an English Starling. Once the most populace bird in the UK, famed for its murmurations, sadly their numbers have been decimated in recent years though I understand they are making a comeback.

This is the same bird that was on the Utterly Butterly feeder (in my extras) just after taking a wedge of peanut feed and eating it; he's kind of looking at me as if to say "yup, you put it out and we'll eat it faster than your tits, finches and robins"

Thanks for dropping by; I appreciate your input

Beautiful shot! They have such pretty colours, a shame they are so boisterous & noisy!
