This is the tallest free-standing sculpture in the UK, even taller than the Angel of the North.
It was erected a few years ago when the University of Nottingham built a new campus on the site of the old Raleigh Bicycle grounds. Raleigh bikes were built in Nottingham until the turn of the century - in fact, my dad's first job when he arrived on British shores was at the Raleigh factory in the mid 70s. But I digress...
I can see the sculpture out the window from my workplace, a few miles away. It's not the most attractive sculpture to be honest, so to make it a little more interesting I photographed it at an angle.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

I love the angle, and the blueness of the sky
