Rach and I visited Thorpeness for the first time in aaages today, it's actually illegal to go there and not hire a boat on the Mere. Very romantic - and we only crashed a few times!

Looks like an awesome place to be! It looks like you are out in the country somewhere? My favorite place to be.

This is so gorgeous! I want to be there. I love the peace and quiet of places like that.

Think of the history...and the romantic times...spent rowing this river. I have an old (ebay) album of photos from the 20s and some of my favorite pictures are like this, in boats out on the water. (Someday this will look vintage, too!)

We go there in the summer to have what we call a 'bonding' day! Me, Chris and his 2 teenagers...:-) No ones fallen in yet but the oar has floated off a few times!! lol Try the Dolphin pub for Sunday lunch bbqs, pricey but nice.
