Sourdough

I’ve been baking sourdough for around a year now, really enjoying the slow process. Working with a live starter really puts you in touch with what yeast actually is, how it behaves and how people have been making bread in the same way for thousands of years.
You've made me hungry. ;)

Wonderful shot Ross. I hope it is not too cold where ou are now, otherwise you have to keep the live starter under your armpits, to keep them alive. ;-) Well thats my grandparents had to do, when their little hut was very cold in winter.

It looks delicious. I've always been a little afraid of using yeast.

There are elementary activities that appeal to the whole person - his thoughts, his feelings, his corporeality. And not separated, but in each other. These are activities in which man experiences himself in his entirety. It is a flow, in which man lives completely in the here and now. The experience of meaningfulness is becoming less and less for us today. Bread baking is such a way to be completely human. Or designing and building in a workshop. Create something with your hands: All the senses are stimulated, man appropriates the world and is itself changed by the world. I believe that such experiences are very important, so that the person remains healthy - mentally, emotionally, physically.

Very nice photo. It beautifully expresses the fluffy bread, as well as the crisp crust.
A picture with appetite appeal.
