A lesser known Sydney icon. Usually referred to as QVB.
For a mjor part of the 20th century, the building was a loss making white elephant, often recommended for demolition.
It was refurbished in the 1980's and now houses upmarket boutiques, cafes and shops.
The interior is beautiful and often overlooked by passersby
