To me daffodils are a symbol of spring. Their bright flowers make me happy, along with the implied promise of baby ducklings at the pond and lots of new flowers to point the camera at :)
I also have some Welsh blood and have always felt at home in Wales, so daffodils, being the floral emblem of Wales, remind me of my roots, and the place I hope to live one day.
I liked the framing and focus in this pic, though I probably should have cropped it or tidied it up somehow...
Well- now I know why I love them so much- I have Welsh blood in me too! Somewhere in the Spring months of my project I have a daffodil shot as well with a little poem I wrote about them. Funny as we're heading into fall, you're looking forward to spring! It will be nice to see your flowers popping up as ours start to slow down.
I hear you Alia - there is no stronger symbol of an approaching spring, than the gorgeous daffodil. I love jonquils too, but the daffodils are something special. I love the framing and focus in this photo.
