I had the brilliant idea to take a walk with Clara this morning. The sun was out and it looked like a gorgeous day. We set out for a local park and I brought the camera along in hopes of taking some shots while we were out.
Well, I knew that it was a bit breezy out, but I had no idea how blustery it was. Wind gust were 25-35 mph and were practically blowing us over for the few minutes that we were out of the car.
This shot is a happy accident. It is a UCM or unintentional camera movement shot:). It was in focus and I guess that the wind blew me over (or something) as I was taking it. I really loved how it turned out. I got several more shots that were in focus and they were lame in comparison.
It reminds me a tad of one of my favorite shots of mine from last year that I am planning to enter in a local photo contest (though I can't decide if it should be in the landscape or people category): http://365project.org/amandalomonaco/365/2012-09-28. It has the same impressionistic feel.
Some people shoot the breeze, I try to capture the wind.
Hi Amanda, hope I'm doing this correctly. If not feel free to correct me.
For your get pushed challenge the theme is "shoes"
Great project by the way!!
I saw the other one too and like the focus on the stones but you don't seem to have a real focus on this one which is what you meant, is it? Supposed to be like a dream!
That is some crazy winds my dear! What a lovely surprise shot tho! I love the man with his dog! Wonderful capture! And I really really love the one you are going to enter in the contest.... hmm hard category to pick since the landscape is what is in focus... but there are a few people in it... enter it in both... shhhh I won't tell anyone :)
@egad Thanks so much for your feedback, friend! I think you are right!
@nicolamac Aw, you are sweet. Yours, too:). Shoes it is. I had some ideas for the week already and will include shoes in them. Thanks for a fun one!
@psychographer I'd like to know how to do this on purpose! But my mistake made me happy.:) Thanks, Lisa.
@tonydebont Why thank you very much, Tony. How kind of you to say that. I've gotta make the 'bad' shots work somehow. Funny how I like it so much.:) Really appreciate your comments!
@maggiemae It was a total accident. I have no idea what happend here. I was in focus and really think that I moved in the wind. I liked how it turned out, though...far superior to the clear shots. Weird, huh? Thanks, Maggiemae!
@archaeofrog No clue. That one probably won't win. It's not really a fit for either...not strong people or landscape, but I still love it. Oh well, may as well try. I have another stronger one to enter, too. Foggy Fences from last year.
@kbalychev I would, but it is $15 per entry. I am going to enter 2 photos. I have another that I really love, but it needs too much editing to make it worthy. Such that it wouldn't look good blown up with my editing skills. Thanks for your comments, my friend. It was a woman with the dog, though too fuzzy to tell.
@bristolrose Thanks, lady. I really liked the dreamy feel!:)
@siwainastromoy Thanks so much for that fav, lady. I really loved that other shot, too. One of my all time favs of my own. Thanks for your comments, too:)!
@tamaradawn Aw, thanks, lady. Love that you said that and pointed that out to me:).
@cmc1200 Thanks, Caryn! What the heck did I do to get this? Although today I was fuzzy with a lot of shots, too. Sheesh. Settings? User error? Having seizures? I really think that this one was wind caused.

@paul2782 Thanks so much, Paul! Not a shred of paper in sight, though. Next time, perhaps.
@tbats22 I think so, too, yet it is not a strong people photo. I love it, though, but not expecting to win anything. Thanks for your great input.
@kwind Thank you, Kim. You are sweet!

@bpaquette I love those moments. Thanks, friend!
@rachelmackenzie Thanks, Miss Rachel. Wish I knew how to recreate it when I want to again! I love these types of shots sometimes.
@automaticslim I love to start trends, make up words, acronyms, etc. Thanks, Andy:)!!
@masosy And I adore your comments...thank you, Kate!
@edie Do you know how to do this on purpose? I sure don't. I'd love to so I can do it when I want to in the future. Oh to be an expert...
@carolmw Thanks so much, Carol!
