Alright, folks...I have been a cropping nut today. I deleted my original upload and unfortunately all of your great comments and critique because I was unsatisfied with the version and wanted this cropped down one in my main album instead. Please forgive my nuttiness:). And thanks for all of your great comments that helped me to get this what I feel is the best version!
This was taken yesterday in Augusta, KY...the town where George Clooney (the actor) and his famous Aunt, Rosemary Clooney (the old time singer) grew up. It was a picture perfect day in this quaint, precious town. I loved this scene with the bike and the color for my get pushed color push.
And feel free not to comment again as I am such a nut job.
You all are so kind to have commented and helped me to get what I feel is the best version of this photo. I felt the compulsive need to reupload it over the other one with the annoying left side planter(but I was sad to lose your great feedback and favs). Thanks for you help and faves. Feel free not to comment again, but I just wanted to show you the finished result. Please pardon my crazy;-).
@tbats22 Right on the river. You have to take a ferry from OH to get there. It's so quaint and lovely. They even had old time music (Rosemary Clooney) playing in the streets. It was like a taste of heaven for me.
@farscapephotography Thanks, Simon. It took me all morning to get the crop right. I shot it and figured I could crop it right later, but had a hard time losing anything in it. Glad that it finally came out great!
@amandal This wins! So much better! Y'know if you do this next time, you can change the date on the previous post to something way in the past. That way it frees up the current day for re-uploading, plus you get to keep the comments :-)
@michaelelliott Thanks, Michael. It was a wonderful little town. I felt like I had stepped back in time with Rosemary Clooney music playing in the streets.
Great find. LOve all the white. // you are an ACE member so you can use picmonkey after you upload picture and to fiddle with the crop and when you re-upload this way you don't loose comments.
Great shot Amanda. If I can offer a suggestion for next time. Instead of replacing or effectively deleting the old photo and all its comments you might consider transferring the old photo to another album. All comments are then kept.
@johnfalconer Hey, John...thanks for that advice. I knew that, just really didn't want the "bad" image to be in my main album. I debated and debated and just did it.
Ooo..what neat, fancy dresses! I love the colors in this and the brightness with the white. The bike is sweet, but I'm really digging those purple bricks!
@pasadenarose Thanks so much...I wish that I had taken more time to edit in the first place (yet, it's really cool how great and helpful this community is). Sorry to give you a spin! And I really liked this edit best in the end, too...and I learned that I could have cropped it without deleting the photo in pic monkey...doh! I lost all of the comments and faves.:( Oh well...live and learn!
