One of the coolest things I have ever seen were the polar bears playing together at the zoo earlier in the year. It was so incredible to see creatures of this size and strength wrestling around like brothers do. Every time I've been to the zoo since, they've been away, so I was happy to see one of them this week. But he wasn't very active this time. Pretty chill actually.
I kinda feel this way today. I had one of the worst nights I've had for sleep in awhile (luckily it has been much better lately and major sleep issues have become uncommon). I have at least one kid staying home sick from school. We are going to take it slow and low...And want to know something weird. I just want to get in there and snuggle with the polar bear. I refrained, but doesn't it look so cuddly and sweet here:)?

What a great image! I have to say that while your other photos of the polar bears are great captures, this one holds resonance for me, perhaps for the very reason you say. I'm also sleep deprived (about four hours last night) with frequent sleep difficulty, and this polar bear absolutely looks snuggle-worthy!

Fabulous just fabulous.... I head to the zoo tomorrow but sadly it hasn't had Polar bears in a long time. Guess I'll just have to settle on the pandas...
I saw this and didn't have time to comment; wanted to come back to it. What an amazing capture -- he looks totally cuddly and sweet, and the photo is so well composed.

He does look irresistible....I don't blame you. Any bear should be a snugly bear, but your other shots show some sharp teeth and claws so please continue to resist the urge :-) I love the pads on his feet and the pov. great that you have captured variations in poses!

@amandal - "Sir"? When I was in basic training and we made the mistake of calling our drill sergeant, "sir" they would reply, "Sir? don't call me sir I work for a living!"
