Hanging Out and Blowing in the Wind by alophoto

Hanging Out and Blowing in the Wind

Airing out and drying old school style. Can't you just smell the freshness, feel the breeze. Oh, it's been gorgeous out.

I wondered what to have as my photo today to accompany my Mad Hatters shot and the answer was blowing in the wind. Just wonder what the people thought of me standing in their yard and taking photos of their laundry on the line.

I'm doing laundry all Shakespearean at Mad Hatters today. Check it out... http://365project.org/madhatters/365/2014-04-28

Friends, Romans countrymen...lend me your clothes...:) Happy Monday!
Ah love the smell of laundry dried by the sun. Lovely pic!

I can smell the frabic softner and feel the breeze! You can't beat laundry drying outside - especially bed linen. This is really atmospheric - really like it.
April 28th, 2014
Should be dry in no time at all,in the wind, very colourful!!
April 28th, 2014
I really like washing line photos - so much so that I added a dead fish once. Love that you've photographed one of your neighbour's washing lines.
April 28th, 2014
Beautiful.... I miss smelling that sweet fresh smell from the washing.. We have no backcourt these days.. Brought back those senses
April 28th, 2014
Lovely composition; it reminds me of my years growing up... and running to collect the clothing when it started raining. Very nice and colorful.
April 28th, 2014
Fav! Love the composition and the colorful clothes blowing in the breeze. I would love to hang out clothes once in a while. Haven't done that in decades.
April 28th, 2014
Oh I love that freshness of a summer breeze! You have made laundry look good, girl. I´m off to see the Mad Hatters now

Sounds like a songs title :)
Great shot. I frequently try and get a laundry in the wind shot and have failed each time. Did one last year but need to improve on it. This is cool!
April 28th, 2014
@stevecameras The bright colors of the laundry and breeze really worked it for me. Thanks, Steve. Keep trying.:)

@loweygrace I did, too. It just spoke to me. Thanks, Lois!

@june Yes, I thought so, too. thanks, June:).

Colourful and reminiscent of a time before driers.
April 28th, 2014
I've never had my own clothesline. WE had one has a kid but all the places we live say NO to them. The smell is wonderful!
April 28th, 2014
"The laundry, my friend, is blowin' in the wind . . ." Very fun, colorful shot!
April 29th, 2014
I'm convinced that your last move was forced by scandalized neighbors, so here y'go again. This is a surprisingly interesting photo.
April 29th, 2014
Love how you evoked so many senses in one shot! My grand mom used to have a close line. We liked to swing on it!
April 29th, 2014
Love the colors and the dof and your creativity! Back in the day when everyone owned clothes dryers but it was still a new thing, we would sometimes go for a ride to the Amish country in Pennsylvania--my mother would get so nostalgic and happy when she saw wash on the line. This photo reminded me of that. Thank you!
April 29th, 2014
Love this nostalgic capture! When we first married, our rent house had a clothesline! I loved using it especially for rugs, comforters and other large items.
April 29th, 2014
Love it -- looks like they are dancing in sync!
April 29th, 2014

@wannabe Tarsan!! How cool. Thank you!!!

@tremerryn @seanoneill @tracelee @taffy Thanks so much, my friends!

@rvwalker Oh Ross, I think you may be right. New neighbors next door are moving after us being here a few months. House went on the market soon after I was out front doing selfies in the pink bunny suit and they drove by. I tried to duck and be invisible, but I was seen and they were like "What the heck?!" Ugh, I'm a train wreck;-). Hey, see my selfie in the next shot. Not glamorous per se, but just me being me and not all weird for a change:).

@kareenking @kwind @tonydebont @overalvandaan @susale

Thanks so much, friend!

@cimes1 I remember my mom hanging clothes on the line and sheets. Such a sweet fresh scent. Thank you, Carol!
