Sometimes I can't get over how long it takes me to get a photo edited. It's not always or even often the case, but this one for some strange reason took forever. It was one of my favorites from the Civil War event...because of her extreme sweetness, but I wasn't satisfied with my edit...did so many. Finally after days of attempts and a pile of choices, I picked and here you go.

I love her little hand holding onto the adult one so trustingly. I know it's a re - enactment, but it makes me sad to think about children in the midst of wars. Powerful photo, Amanda!

I can understand taking a long time to edit that sweet photo - I can barely tear my eyes away from that cute little face! I love her tiny little hand in her pa's big paw! And you did a fantastic job on the post processing - great aged tone, texture & perfect amount of vignette. Beautiful!
Love the framing - gives it a mystery and also makes the little girl look almost alone (I would say in some deeper sense, if it doesnt sound too much). Great work.
I hope you had some cards printed so you could hand them out to all the people you took pics of? This is a particularly good shot, excellent work and processing.
