And sometimes I do. Today, I am foggier. Too much holidays. Sometimes you need a little Christmas...sometimes you are over it.
We had a fun, low key NYE last night. Hosted again. That's 3 events in the past week or so. I am quite partied out. And somehow in all the fun, I managed to hurt my back. I got up and can barely move today without screaming. Popped an advil and waiting for it to kick in. What a pain in the back!
But, it is a new year. 3 years ago today, I started 365 as a "sure, I'll give it a try, why not" thing on a whim. And I am still hooked. I'm a changed person really as I found a love and passion in photography that I had no clue existed for me.
If you are starting today, welcome. If you are coming back for another year, hats off to you. Regardless, fasten your seatbelts because this is a wild ride.
The perfect capture for all of us this morning (whether or not there's was much partying last evening). I love what you said about being a changed person because of 365 - so true for me, also. And to think I started it just because I read about the site in a magazine! I had forgotten how much I love photography - I won't be forgetting again - ever. Oh, and this is an absolute (and first of the new year) fav for me.
This is really lovely Amanda. A great way to start your New Year. Quiet for us last night too..the dogs (Charlie and grand dogs) were not happy about the neighbors fireworks so was glad to be home from a movie to calm them down. Cinnamon was especially scared. This is a fav....and wishing you the best for 2015.
Happy New Year my 365 friend, so sorry to hear of your aching back. I have so enjoyed your pics this year and thank you for all the supportive feedback you've offered on mine. A very cool shot here to start the new year.
Great atmospheric shot! And I do hope your back recovers quickly... went through this about a month ago... opted to go the massage therapist instead of the chiropractor and it helped tremendously... Happy New Year...
Excellent sentiment. I am holidayed out for sure. Great description and photo! I hope your back feels better and that the advil works miracles for you.
Not an easy photo to get right but yours has mystery and a softness! Poor you with a bad back - you must have lifted something at one time. Whoopy doo.. for your 4th Year! I'm in my 4th too, can hardly believe it!
@maggiemae I should start year 4 in another couple weeks. I left a few holes this time around. I worked out and twisted it funny:(. Thanks, Maggiemae!!!
Great concept and interesting capture given there is nothing to focus on. I checked my 'friends' list and find you are among the very first I followed and likewise you are in the early part of my followers. It has been an amazing three years.
The mystery and magic of fog — it's awesome! Super capture, excellent title and commentary (as always). Happiest of New Years to you and your family, Amanda!
Great New Years Morning capture, Amanda. You are so fascinating and creative and sure have had a ride on here. So hard to keep up with your energy. I still love your writing. You bring people right into how you feel and your life. Love it. Happy New Year my friend. FAV
Happy New Year Amanda!!! I love fog, maybe because I stay in a fog most of the time? This is so awesome and love how you can just see the city scape!!! Bridge too!! I'm only about half way done with my first year!! Congratulations on your "3" years!!!! WOW! Can't see what the New Year brings!! FAV!
Fantastic image and Fav! Hope it is not an Advil year for long but if it helps provide images like these I'm OK with such performance enhancing drugs ;-)
Wow, you completed 3 years and are still going strong (well, except for that back thing!).....you have my total admiration for all that you do as a mother, a wife, a wonderful goofball and storyteller, a fireball, a selfie queen, an amazing person and photographer! Hats off to you, and looking forward to another year together here! Hope you feel better.....drugs are amazing things! Oh, and Happy New Year to you and yours!
@lesip Monday I start. I went once before Christmas and got the flu. Monday is another one...a temp thing for a few months and then I go back on Tues to the other. Yikes. 4 days a week. Back is better. Mike cracked it for me...good as new.
Great foggy shot
Wishing you and family a Happy New Year
