If our food could talk, these would be it's final words.
Poor spaghetti. It wasn't meant to be. You are too delicious to spare. Now get into my belly.
Last year, I played with my food. It's ok to do this sometimes (shhh, don't tell the kids;). Bought Alphabet Spaghettios and used the kids leftovers for this shot: . http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2014-01-07 And recently, I had this idea and found these letters and took the shot before they ate.
Love that my son was a willing mouth model. I thought to make it a selfie, but figured it may have been hard to get the angle right.
When I was in high school, my favorite class was my freshman biology class. We had the kookiest, most fun teacher ever. I swear he taught us that broccoli has nerve endings and can feel pain. I often have thought of it screaming in my mouth when I eat it. None of my classmates remember this, though, so it must have been some strange dream I had or something. But I think that lesson or dream or whatever it was inspired this silly shot.
Such a fav for me! Love the SC (I know that comes as a shock). I'm reminded of a old TV episode (it could be from Tales From The Darkside - I can't remember) but the story was about a girl wanting to lose weight. She ordered a product that made her food come to life. It would scream and beg for mercy if she tried to eat it. The episode did not end well for the poor girl.
Great use of SC! I wonder this myself, how food feel about being eaten... I have decided that is what food wants. They are not happy until they have been eaten. So, food is very sad if it gets thrown in the trash. Haha, you would think I was 1000 lbs. talking like this. ;-)
I do not know that I will ever look at food the same again. Kidding! Great photo Amanda. You are so very creative. Love your little pic now that I can read it. Cool SC on this one. Always love what you write, a great story teller and writer. FAV
Saw this a couple times today but didn't know it was you... lol
I should have ! Hoping it isn't this weekend you are heading this way . Weather may be tricky .
Awesome capture. Great use of SC and your kids are great models..they take after their MOM. Love your story about broccoli...now I will always think about it screaming when I eat it! Oh my!!! As much as I love crab...when we catch it fresh and cook it (live) I have to close my eyes and ears...because someone told me they scream when they are dropped in the hot water. Yikes..I might have a nightmare tonight.
Toooooo funny and love the selective coloring!! Your food lesson is a lot like the "tree falling in the woods and if no one is around, does it still make a sound?" Great shot and lots of fun! FAV!
@ziggy77 Thanks so much, Jo!! It was fun.
