Lord Help Us All by alophoto

Lord Help Us All

Today, Donald Trump is inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States.

Our states and our people are so divided these days, so polarized.

I pray for our incoming President, that he will somehow unite us again, that he will be filled with wisdom, good judgement, a measure of humbleness even and that he will surprise us all, friends and foes alike. May he do great things as he leads our country and may we all allow him the chance to do so.

And pardon our protests and rants and all of the garbage you see and hear in the meantime. I am grateful that we have a country that allows us the freedom to express, but Lord, please bring us back together and help us understand one another and treat one another respectfully even if we don't agree or see eye to eye on everything.

Amen.
Amen to that, Amanda.

I'm not even watching the news today. I'm not against him, but there's so much hate out there and protests that it truly has gotten out of hand. I hope he proves all the naysayers wrong and does a great job. He does need to stay off Twitter though lol. Great photo and fitting for today for sure.

Yes indeed - a lovely image, and so pertinent for today. The world is indeed a strange place. You have Trump. We have Brexit and Referendums on Scottish Independence to deal with. All so divisive, but we do need to work together for the good of all - whether the choices made are ones that we would have made or not.

I had to stop reading the news. It was bad for my blood pressure.

Oh, and I haven't had a Tv in the house for over 20 years.

I like your title and sentiment.

Great title and moving words. So much division in the world today. As Issi @jamibann has said here in the UK we have Brexit. We all need to work together and support our leaders even if we didn't vote for them!!

Love the title! Great shot.

I really like your photo (where is that?) and your statement. Every day I try to have hope and every day I hear news that smashes that hope of a better, more loving nation for us. However, as I heard President Obama say this morning, this is a comma, not a period in our history. And, hope springs eternal. :-)
