Imagined being on an island somewhere when I was gazing at these tropical looking spring dogwood blooms...dreaming of the fragrance of frangipani and looking out into the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, sitting in the sugar white sand and drinking a creamy icy pina colada.
Oh gosh, I need a vacation and miss the beach!
Actually last night, Michael and I started planning an upcoming weekend quick get away. Just going to a local town that has lots of parks and hiking around. A hippy dippy, quaint town. I'm excited to have something to look forward. It's not Paris like we had been hoping for, but it'll do, donkey, it'll do.
Happy Friday. Today I hope to go check out a really cool place with my dad. How bout I show you tomorrow what I saw.
On the news front, this week I quit my job (for health purposes---it had become increasingly unhealthy for me). A day later, they had found someone to replace my position. It was rather strange feeling to be so easily replaceable, but maybe showing that me leaving was for the best. Hope that I can find an ideal and healthier position maybe after the summer. And how cool would it be if it involved photography?!
Good on you for quitting an unhealthy environment. I did exactly the same 6 weeks ago - BEST decision I have made in a long time! Enjoy your funky weekend get away xx
Fav for your composition, your mini vacation planning and your new chapter in life...They replaced the position, they didn't replace you:) Happy weekend and life's outlook, Amanda!
Great imagination. We can dream... Lovely photo. I'm looking forward to seeing what you bring back from your weekend jaunt. Best of luck finding a better position.
This is a great photo! Love the light and the blossom on this beautiful tree. Do I gather from reading your commentary that you won't be coming to Paris this summer? :-( Regardless ... enjoy your weekend away and good luck on finding a more satisfying job!
Oh this is a wonderful shot. Take some time out. You obviously need to relax a little and take things easy. If your work is giving you health problems it's not the right thing to be doing and it's funny how fate works. Since leaving my last job due to health reasons I'm now in the best position I've ever been, love my work, my work mates and no longer hate the thought of going to work. Trust that this is for a reason and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can find a job directly involving photography xx
Awesome life and color to this image and you had me right there beside you on the beach with your perfect word description.
I'm glad to hear you quit your job I got the feeling that it made you more unhappy than anything else that was going on in your life. And just so you know you are not that easily replaced no matter what it looks like.
I love flowering dogwoods! I wish we had them here!
