Cardinal in the Snow by april16

Cardinal in the Snow

Another entry for the "Camera Settings Challenge--Wide Aperture Settings." He's a little fuzzy but, hey, it's a cardinal!
Nice scene. I think you need the tripod again. :) 1/13 shutter is slow enough that I think you have some camera shake in the shot. Pretty red though.

Uh oh...it's snowing. :-(
Such a pretty capture with the bright red cardinal peeking out at the falling snow.

What a beautiful red bird. It looks great against the white snow.

@frankhymus Thank you, Frank. This cardinal really caught me by surprise and I know that I wasn't ready for him. The tripod is a good idea and I'll have to keep practicing with the wide aperture. Thank you so much for your suggestions!

No wonder he is a bit fuzzy. I wouldn't be too keen on being out in that weather either. He was probably making a run for the door.

@wendyfrost Thank you, Wendy! Not too many and only one at a time unless there is a male with a female. My husband says that they're very territorial and that's why they're like that.
