Toadstools

I have spent most of the day working in the garden pruning some very overgrown shrubs. It is probably at the wrong time of year, but I did them, about this time last year and they have grown larger than ever. My husband has been strimming in the garden and Victoria has been helping both of us.

Today’s blip is of what looks as though it might be some Clouded Agaric Toadstools, which I noticed when removing some weeds. Although I took several pictures, I chose this one, as there is a bug, possibly a small grasshopper or cricket, just leaving the top of the middle of the three larger toadstools. In later pictures it has gone off into the undergrowth.

I have heard back from Essex County Council regarding our flooding and insurance problem. They have given me a website, which tells me very little! I will contact them again after having another look around the site.

It has been rather hot today, although as it clouded over at times, so it was not too hot all the time. We had lunch on the balcony, which was nice, but it was also a little windy up there.
