To my surprise I saw a new bird visiting the feeder...but he didn't take any bird seeds..no he just sat in the tree for the longest time so I had a good opp. to take lots of shots. when I checked my fieldguide to birds I found him under Rose-breasted Grosbeak..it says that these birds are more often heard than seen as they feed on berries, flowers and seeds, and insects in bushes and trees. as you can see I had a clear view of him.
Wonderful shot! Wow...this makes me think it should be turned into a postage stamp...don't ask me why!!! I just expect to see the stamp price down in the corner! LOL
@nanascraps Yes this one was a pretty sight but I believe he was just passing through never to be seen again..just like one last year that sat in front of my sliding door on the varandah..never saw him again.
we have sparrows, mourning doves, all kinds of finches,blue jays, cardinals,robins,nuthatches and chicadees. so its quite a variety. care to the one that got away. http://365project.org/bruni/365/2010-05-23
