Beginnings

I got up early this morning to take my sister-in-law to the hospital to get a port for chemo. She is beginning treatments next week. Her husband has recently had a series of strokes and has challenges to overcome. Both of them have elderly parents with dementia so their hands were full to start with. Lots of beginnings for both of them. Two of the sweetest people you will ever meet, two people with strong faith that will carry them through.
Beautiful sunrise shot. Prayers for you SIL and husband!

@bkbinthecity Eddie and Judy, they are in their mid-sixties. Judy has been in ministry for more than 40 years, still works full time. Began as music director, children's minister and now family minister. Eddie is a retired builder, also active in church. I very much appreciate your prayers on their behalf.

@gaf005 Thank you, George, I appreciate the time viewing and commenting on my photos. Some of them are mediocre, a few I kind of like.

@carole_sandford I find comfort in the rising and setting of the sun, a constant reminder there is One who is Sovereign over all.

@hjbenson Thank you, Harry. I am not an early riser, so sunrises are a little more rare and special to me.

@jgpittenger I must say that "I lift my eyes to the hills, where my help comes from... Maker of heaven and earth" many times a day. I feel so blessed to live where I do, views on all sides.

What challenges lie ahead for your sister-in-law and her husband. I would imagine they would see your beautiful picture and think that each new day is a blessing in its own special way.

@lyndemc Each and every day is a blessing. It's their nature to find the good in everything. Haven't heard them complain yet. Thanks for your sweet comment.

@kork Thank you... and we are hoping and praying for a happy ending to the story!

@carolmw Thank you for this comment and so many others through the years. My sister-in-law is a family minister and has been able to work from home.... she spends her days encouraging others, I hope they return the blessing. She's a jewel! My brother-in-law is a fine man, a wonderful papaw to four grandchildren and I know he misses taking them fishing right now.

@pdulis Thank you... I don't see the early morning light very often! I have a lot of difficulty with sleep, often wrestling with it until the wee hours of the morning.
