This is normally the spot I like to take my studio-type shots of small subjects, such as toys & gummy bears. In the future I'm hoping to rearrange my room and get a larger table. In the meantime, this spot along with my new lights have served me well. You can even see CJ's setup from yesterday.
You may also remember my frog friend, Fred from my flower series last year. He's a keen observing of many things. This week he'll take a look at many of the spots I like to take my photos. :)
Thank you so much for sharing your studio set up with us. It is great to know how you achieve of those fabulous shots. It also might be a tutorial for those of us that don't have a "studio".
@stray_shooter - I recently bought these lights a few months ago and still learning to use them, especially in controlling disrupting shadows. Gotta keep practicing. They do look like cousins! Although Clyde Frog seems to smile much more than Fred. :)
This is so interesting to see Chris. Are they special photography lights? and when you do coloured background shots - do you use different coloured backgrounds or do you 'create' the colours in PS? Hope you don't mind the questions...
Thanks so much Chris for explaining and for the link, I can't seem to find them over here in the UK, but I will keep looking... :) As for diffusing.... I wonder if wax paper/greaseproof paper would work?
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for finding that Chris! It looks pretty great! I think I have to put this on my shopping list for sure. Thanks again, what a great find!
@stephanies - Awesome!! No problem! Wasn't sure if this was what you were looking for but super happy that it is! Looks like a great setup. Looking forward to seeing your results with it! :)

I will have to find a way to diffuse the light though. They can be a bit bright!
The wax paper/greaseproof paper sounds like a good idea, I'll give it a try! Thanks! :)
