When photographing a little Lego person, there can be challenges that you might not think of. For example, most of the time, I can easily balance CJ in a shot. However, gravity is a real thing! If he's looking upward or downward, he'll fall over. Also, some surfaces are not completely flat, like a handrail. Other times, the wind will knock him over just as I'm about to take the shot!
Several months ago, one of my buddies suggested using mounting putty. So I found this pack for almost $2 at Walmart. Taking a small piece of the putty, I stick it under CJ's feet. If the piece is small enough, it won't even appear in the image. However, if the blue putty does appear, it's very easy to edit it out.
I've found it doesn't stick to wet or cold surfaces. Other than that, putty has made my Lego shots ten times easier! CJ can now stay put so I can focus on capturing his marvelous photographic adventures for you all. That's putty cool, isn't it? 😄
